was/were able to yapabilirdin anlamında yetenek için kullanılır. Becerebilmek için kullanılır çoğu zaman. Olasılık için kullanıldığında yüksek bir olasılığı gösterir.

can't/couldn't have V3 içinse ''bunu isteseydin de yapamazdın'' anlamı daha nettir.

e şıkkı hocam doğru yanıt. işlerin bu kadar kötü gideceğini tahmin etmiş olamaz(ummuş olamaz), aksi takdirde bu kadar yatırım yapmazdı işe.(bu kadar para yatırmazdı bu işe)
